Bhimsen Joshi, Mallikarjun Mansur, Pt Kumar Gandharva, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Kishori Amonkar, Prabha Atre, Gangubai Hangal, Parveen Sultana and others are important Hindustani vocalists.
