Pravin Godkhindi takes up eight popular tunes in this album. These tunes, called from five decades of popular music, suggest the influence of classical ragas. Pravin first sketches out the basic tunes and then paints them with a classical brush.

This compilation follows the success of a similar attempt by Pravin in Ragini Vol 1. As in Ragini Vol 1, Pravin's flute gets the stylish support of Shabbir's keyboard, Madhusudan's tabla and Arun Sukumar's rhythm box.

Pravin Godkhindi learnt under his father Pandit Venkatesh Godkhindi, and plays classical music on the concert stage. As a studio artiste, he has recorded fusion with such masters as kadri Gopalnath. He also composes music for television serials. Pravin is popular on E-TV (Kannada), where he plays for a widely watched sleekly show with S.P.Balasubramanyam, the biggest star of South Indian movie music.
