About this album

Keerti Kumar Badseshi hails from a music patronizing family. He found his true calling in music at a very tender age and has not looked back since. Recognizing him as a child prodigy, Ustad Gulam Mustafa Khan had already predicted a bright future for him. Keerti had his initial training from Sri Ramachari Jalihal and Smt. Geeta Gayatri Chakrevarthy of Gulharga and today he is imbibing the Kirana and Gwalior styles of singing from the music mawatro-Pandit Vinayak Torvi.

Always a topper, whether at University, State or National level music compositions, this unassuming youngster left an indelible mark in the hearts of the audience and the seasoned years of judges alike. His gayaki appeals to listeners chiefly because of his clear, supple and pleasant voice sweeping effortlessly across almost three saptaks (Octaves). His effective taan patterns seem almost exhaustive. The style is simple and direct and the voice is trained such that a natural, full-throated rendition underlines the singing. His sargams in of beat taal patterns particularly colour his layakari.

Keerti has participated in many music festivals such as the prestigious Mysore Dasara Palace Concert, Yuva Sangeet Nritya Mahotsav - Khajuraho and youth festivals prominent amongst others. A graded artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan (Television). Keerti has been performing not only in various parts of India, but abroad as well. Always wanting to explore his realm, Keerti has dabbled with playback singing for T.V serials and documentaries. His insight into music has enabled him to compose bandishis and taransa too.

He has won several accolades and earned rare reviews from fans and critics-prime amongst them being the famous music critic Sri Mohan Nadkarni.

In this maiden venture, Keerti presents Raag Maru Bihaag, Raag Bhin Shadja and Raag Bhairavi.
