Sangita Kalanidhi Sri Kollengode Viswanatha Narayaaswamy a renowned vocalist comes from a family of traditional musicians of Palghat in Kerala. KVN had his early training under his grandfather Sri Narayana Bhagvathar and his father Sri Viswanatha Bhagavather. He later had rigorous training under the famous maestro Ariyakkudi Ramanuja Iyengar. His excellence in raga alapana and technical decoration is thoroughly satisfying. KNV took part in several country tours and gave concerts in the USA, Canada, West Germany, and in other parts of Europe too.

He was one among the four main musicians viz. Bismillah Khan, Ali Akbar Khan and Ravi Shankar in a large festival of Indian music at Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles. KVN is also a recipient of several titles and honors. He was conferred the title 'Padama Shri' by the President of India in 1976. 'Gayaka Choodamani' by Tulaseevana Sangeeth Parishat, Trivandrum.

In this album KNV has rendered in a most traditional manner the Ramayana padalgal of Kulasekhara Azhwar, Vocal support given by smt Padama Narayanaswamy his wife, who is also talented singer and an A-Grade artiste of the AIR Chennai.
