A disciple of T Brinda, Aruna Sairam, has taken Carnatic Music to International Audiences. With an ability to present the music aesthetically even to the uninitiated, Aruna has carved a niche for herself in this field. She is known for her renditions of rare kritis of the Trinity and of other composers. She has also made the Marathi abhangs a feature of the Carnatic Music concert platform.
