Dhadi Jatha
Dhadhi Jatha is a traditional recitation of Sikh history. Traditional Sikh singing group perform this songs. The performance gain momentum and vigor as the hymns are conventionally used to rekindle Sikh spirit and pride of Divine are narrated. The roots of this form originate from the age of Gurus. The singers are called Dhadhis named after drum and dhad that accompany their songs. Dhadhis mainly sing at the Gurdwaras and both Sufi and Sikh dhadis are part of the musical scene in Punjab.
