Giddha
The rich and colourful tradition of Punjab possesses many kinds of dance and songs. Giddha is a form of exuberant folk dance famous in Punjab region of India and Pakistan performed by women. Women and girls form a circle to perform the lively Giddha, clapping their hands with the beats of drums while singing small couplets called bolis. Giddha songs are called bolis and are folk poetries enacted in lively manner about household matters to political affairs. High on tempo and feel, it is very popular.
